Since Krafft Ehricke gave it life as the first real space vehicle over half a century ago, Centaur has become a towering symbol of the human spirit that has driven thousands of people to cast the obstacles aside, empower technology to triumph, and make the seemingly impossible, possible. On their shoulders, Centaur has continued rising, year after year after year. Its story hasn’t ended, but we bring this chapter to a close with yet another milestone: the 191st Centaur flight, and the 100th launch of a commercial Atlas/Centaur rocket, in February 2010.
